Gele and Ipele

Gele and Ipele are used by women and as you may know they are usually the same size but used differently. They are always same aso oke used for gele and ipele. Some women only use gele hence why on our website we give you the option to buy only gele or both (purchase 2). Approximate measurement for each piece we offer is 87-88inches (length); 21 inches (width)

  • Gele is used on your head which you can style/tie in multiple beautiful ways.

 

 

 

 

  • Ipele is used on one shoulder or across your arm. The choice is yours!

Cap (Fila)

Men wears cap, you may also hear or see the word "fila" which means cap in Yoruba.

Some couples wear cap and gele/ipele using the same aso oke OR when you see a group of men wearing it, they are most likely all from the same friend group or family aslo known as aso ebi. There is typically only one way to wear the cap, which is folded on the side but of course you can style as you desire.

Caps do not come in one size like gele/ipele, it is measured by the circumference of your head. We offer a range of sizes on our website but of course if you requested a bulk order then you will share the sizes you want.
